To eliminate the euthanasia of unwanted pets in St. Louis city/county, data from successful programs tells us that we need to perform 6,600 spay-neuter surgeries for pets of low-income individuals annually. Factor in the surrounding communities that BARC serves and BARC needs funding for an additional 6,400 surgeries. That’s a whopping 13,000 surgeries a year. To meet this goal, BARC needs to raise $650,000 annually so that we can be Rockin’ Zero® euthanasia in St. Louis.
We’re on our way. Here’s how many targeted, best practice surgeries we’ve performed since our program began.
